Successful private enterprises are sponsors of today’s liberalism. The process of globalization is backed-up by transnational
corporations.70 per cent of global trade is controlled by 500 TNC, meanwhile 400 TNC control up to 50 per cent of the total of FDI. Over 63,000 companies that by all means can be referred to as transnationals operate as intermediaries who make possible the international trade and financial flows.
The Institute for
Transnational Corporations was established in 1999 with the purpose to study the mechanism of private capital circulation in the
modern world economy.
The research program of the Institute is designed to match the global challenges that are especially manifest in the activity of
transnational corporations
(TNC).
The Institute was set up by a group of
alumni of the Department of International
Economic Relations of the Moscow State Institute of International
Relations of the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
